Barry Swanson has over 50 years of experience in financial planning services. He worked as a registered representative and registered principal for a few different firms before deciding to start his own broker/dealer in 1986. Over the past 45 years, Barry has developed Integrated Financial Planning Services into a truly international broker/dealer, with approximately 25 reps servicing clients in countries all over the world.

While serving as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army, Barry gained an extensive knowledge of the military community and the unique needs of this group.

Barry is the current President of the Heidelberg chapter of the American/German Business Club in Germany and is a former President of the Heidelberg Toastmaster’s Club and International Ski Club.

Barry is currently registered as a Series 7, 24, 51, and 63. His other accolades include attaining CFP designation from the College of Financial Planning, and being included in the Who’s Who of the World and the United States.

Kathy joined Integrated Financial Planning Services in 2002 and brought with her a wealth of financial and accounting knowledge that has proved invaluable to the Firm.

Kathy has a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland, and a Masters Degree in Information Systems Management from the University of Southern California. She also holds Accounting Certificates from Hartford Community College, General Motors Dealer Accounting School, and the US Army Comptrollers School.

She has over 20 years experience in the accounting field specializing in regulatory compliance and cash flow management.

She and her husband Ralph live near the Chesapeake Bay in Havre de Grace, Maryland. They have one son who is a Navy Test Pilot, and twin grandchildren.

Marcia has a Masters degree in Accounting and Finance and has spent over 15 years working in leading accounting positions with the DOD and the University of Maryland.  She now has 11 years in various management roles in the Financial Planning Industry.  Her education and experience have given her the necessary skills to work as an effective Compliance Officer at IFPS.  

Marcia maintains the Series 7, Series 24, and a Series 27 licenses.
